Heaters and heating sleeves
Heating sleeves and insulating sleeves
Heating sleeves and insulating sleeves are designed especially to customer’s application. Typical applications are e.g. filters, sampling points, tube connections…
In contrast to insulating sleeves, heating sleeves offer an integrated heating and can be manufactured either to be self-regulating or to be externally regulated.
Depending on the application, the sleeves can be manufactured using various insulating material, to be weatherproof and protected from external influences, so that application in EX Zones is possible.
Depending on customer’s requirements, inner diameters from 1cm…< 100cm and operating temperatures up to 400°C can be realised.
Example application: Heated bayonett filter
Heated casings
Heated casings or housings are a practical way of guaranteeing a required system temperature for components and eliminating cold bridges. CNC manufacturing processes offer high-precision machining of components in various quantities. The housings or casings are designed to fit the corresponding component perfectly. This precise manufacturing ensures that the heat transfer from the housing to the component is optimal.
Heated casings are designed not only to maintain the system temperature, but also to isolate the heat from the components located inside the housing. This ensures that the heat does not spread to other parts of the system and cause damage.
Another important advantage of these casings is their ability to work with very high temperatures. Heated casings and housings can be designed for temperatures up to 1.000°C, which can be relevant for some research applications. External thermal insulations ensure minimizing heat losses, thus guaranteeing safe operation of the system.
Heated casings or housings from APM Technik are an efficient addition for stabilizing the required temperature of components that are not heated as standard. A cartridge heater embedded in the casing and a Pt100 sensor regulate the target temperature of the application. Heated flame arresters, filters and flow meters are typical examples.
